Easter Monday
And if Easter Monday, it would water today!

Easter is our biggest holiday for us Christians. Because of the Covid epidemic, we can’t meet the whole family, we can’t go watering, we can’t get sprinklers.
BUT there is still a tradition on every table of ham, cake, horseradish, eggs, our memories and hopes are with us.
When we had our leave, the girl a lad wanted to irrigate, according to old traditions, also got dawn trees in front of her house – placed next to the fence. And in the old days, ladies were playfully slapped with willow sticks, this was called a „cane.” It was tied to this Easter custom that they finally put a ribbon on the cane and the girls offered wine to the men who visited them. And the men said a sprinkling poem. It is such a beautiful tradition in my country.
However, the girls ’eggs also played a role at the time: they were used for a game called squatting. He had to jog together and the winner remained intact. But they also played coin tossing: the man whose coin was successfully stuck in the egg won.
The tradition of irrigation is attributed to the biblical origin. according to this, the soldiers guarding the tomb of Christ sought to silence those rejoicing women who had received the news of the resurrection by sprinkling. In the Hungarian folk tradition, all this is mixed with the magic of fertility and the belief in the cleansing power of water.
Girls and women have poured buckets around their necks, nowadays fashioned with a watering can sprinkled with soda water or even lighter cologne. And the reward for more beautiful sex is a male, painted red egg that symbolizes the shed blood of Christ. In several places, in addition to eggs, they give wine, brandy, cake and some money to the sprinklers.
Today, we can count on virtual sprinklers in an online environment. I wonder what surprises men have in store.
For me, this day is about joy and kindness, joking, renewal, infinite love.
So today I wish everyone a lot of laughter, happiness, a lot of love, joy!
